Directions:

1. Select any TABULA RASA based style.
2. Choose 2 COLUMN/SIDEBAR ON LEFT under PAGE SETUP.
3. I strongly recommend hitting TEXT and changing the RECENT ENTRIES text to RECENT and the MEMBER POSTS (if you're using the layout on a community) text to MEMBERS. Basically, long strings of text won't fit in the navlink boxes properly, which will cause your layout to look clunky. :/
4. I recommend saving all images to your own server, just because that's more secure on your end, but that's up to you.
5. Go to CUSTOM CSS and uncheck USE LAYOUT'S STYLESHEET.
6. !!! Go to CUSTOM STYLESHEET URL and paste this link: http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto+Slab:100 !!!
7. Grab the code you want (linked below), paste, and save!
8. Modify as much as you want, but please credit.
9. If you have a long journal title and/or subtitle, you might want to go to #header and adjust the height value. (Otherwise part of your subtitle will be cut off.) Let me know if you need any help.
10. Customized comment pages are not recommended.

Yeah, there are a ton of gorgeous LJ layouts. You can import LJ styles, but there are usually little site differences here and there that you have to fix in the code, and it's not worth it. : /

Agreed. And I am not CSS-savvy, LOL. Plus, when I first moved to DW it was a pain in the ass to customize your journal style, at least on free journals. So I'm glad there are pretty layouts that are easy to install now!

Hiiii. ♥ Replying on my phone right now, so if this doesn't solve your issues, we can troubleshoot more later.

Make sure you followed step 6. Without it, anything with the font Roboto Slab will be different. That's why, for example, the title and subtitle on your journal are different than on the preview. If you did do step 6, try deleting the link and pasting again. I once thought there was a problem, but it turned out I just didn't copy the entire link.

Yikes I forgot to reply to this and now I'm actually about to go to bed. However! Mood themes are disabled because they're not coded. If you give me a bit of time, though, I'll mess with it for you and paste the code here when I'm done. I'm going to be out for some of tomorrow, but I can probably have it ready tomorrow evening or Monday if you still want to use this theme.
